Our School

Welcome to Chippewa Falls Middle School (CFMS), home of the Cardinals! We believe the middle school years are about more than preparing students for high school. They are about discovering strengths, building confidence, developing character, and learning who they are and who they want to become.

At CFMS, we embrace the true middle school concept. We recognize that students in grades 6–8 have unique academic, social, emotional, and developmental needs. Our school is designed to support the whole child while challenging every student to learn, grow, and reach their potential.

Relationships are at the heart of what we do. Through grade-level teaming, our teachers collaborate to build a strong sense of community, provide consistent support, and ensure students are known as individuals—not just names on a class list. We want every student to have trusted adults who recognize their strengths, understand their needs, celebrate their growth, and help them navigate the challenges of adolescence.

We believe students are most successful when they feel connected, supported, and challenged. By working together, our staff creates an environment where students feel a sense of belonging and are encouraged to take ownership of their learning and choices.

Learning That Matters

Academic growth is a priority at CFMS. We provide meaningful learning experiences that challenge students to think critically, solve problems, collaborate with others, communicate effectively, and apply their learning in new ways. Our teachers work together to understand student needs, monitor progress, and provide the support and opportunities students need to succeed.

Just as importantly, we know success extends beyond academics. We help students develop responsibility, resilience, empathy, confidence, and the skills to build positive relationships. We want our Cardinals to leave middle school prepared not only for their next academic steps, but also for the opportunities and challenges they will encounter throughout life.
